Aspen Music Festival chairman Alan Fletcher wins a vote of confidence

Talk about an up-and-down tenure. Alan Fletcher, president and chief executive of the Aspen Music Festival since 2006, was nearly fired in 2009 and suffered the indignity of a non-binding no-confidence vote a year later by the faculty-dominated Music Associates of Aspen, one of the two bodies that govern the festival.

CRS accepting applications

The Coast Recital Society (CRS) invites Sunshine Coast classical music students to submit applications for the annual CRS scholarships. CRS scholarships are open to local music students 25 years or younger. Students at all levels of study are encouraged to apply.
